Light WordPress Themes

15 original Light themes, each with a live demo and one signature interaction.

Merrick & Vane

Restraint as the differentiator: one quiet glass canvas, one real practice-area matrix. A persistent site-wide WebGL2 ambient glass canvas — hand-written GLSL, no Three.js — runs unchanged across every template on a 3-tier reduced-motion capability ladder. A genuine data-driven Practice Area by Industry matrix holds 42 hand-written cell descriptions with a crawlable no-JS fallback, cross-referenced through Practice Area, Attorney, and Matter custom post types, behind a nonce-verified, honeypot-protected AJAX consultation form.

Porchlight

A neighborhood that runs on real solar math and real booking arithmetic, not a corporate dashboard. The persistent hand-written WebGL2 dusk streetscape is driven by an actual solar-elevation formula and an inverse-square-style window-glow falloff, on a 4-tier capability ladder. A real amenity-booking calculator does strict interval-overlap conflict detection and sort-and-merge slot computation, and an interactive SVG site plan wires live to real CPT post meta across Amenity, Service, and Event custom post types.

Flush Featured

Flush

69

A flush calendar across eight real origin regions, a real oxidation spectrum for all five tea types, and the five real processing steps that separate them — display-led, no interactive gadgets. Built for tea merchants who want editorial depth over gadgetry, Flush deliberately skips the catalogue's usual GPU-background-and-calculator formula in favor of real reference content: per-type processing notes and eleven demo teas each carrying genuine garden, cultivar, elevation, harvest-window, and oxidation data.

Rosée Featured

Rosée

64

A light ivory-and-rose-gold Parisian haute-beauté boutique theme with a persistent WebGL2 silk background shaded by a real Kajiya-Kay anisotropic BRDF (plus aerodynamically-simulated rose petals and thin-film-interference nacre), a genuine CIEDE2000 shade matcher verified against published reference data, and real INCI ingredient tables with EU allergen flagging.

Stratum Featured

Stratum

64

A skin-science skincare theme with a real-time multi-instance WebGL2 cross-section shader (four hand-shaded skin layers, hover/focus-driven layer probing, genuine reduced-motion fallback) and a non-duplicated ingredient/formula/depth data model with hedged, regulation-conscious copy throughout.

NOVA ROSE

A WooCommerce storefront in rose whose bundle savings are summed from the products at render time, and which prints no rating it cannot back with a review. The background is a hand-written WebGL2 field — domain-warped fBm across 5 octaves and 3 colour stops, DPR-aware and context-loss safe — running on a classic PHP theme with no build step. Built on WooCommerce 8.0+ with self-hosted Bricolage Grotesque, Manrope, and Space Mono type and zero third-party JavaScript, for shop owners who want honest numbers over inflated social proof.

LANTHORN

The page is a dark stage and the content is the printed matter lying on it — playbill, ticket stubs, call sheet, receipt roll. It also publishes the sightline of all 412 seats, including the rows that lose the top of the set.

Apiary

Apiary

79

Two real calculations carry the site: a WebGL2 hexagon-packing comb field, and a waggle-dance bearing calculator built on the actual relationship a forager's dance encodes. The comb field runs genuine flat-top axial and pixel conversion with cube-coordinate rounding and an exact hexagon SDF, while the waggle calculator combines a NOAA simplified solar-position formula with von Frisch's real sun-relative bearing relationship. Colonies, honey, sites, services, testimonials, and markets run as custom post types behind a working AJAX inquiry endpoint, for apiaries and small honey producers.

Patina

Patina

$69

Patina is built for auction houses, working from a simple premise: what a thing is, and what it has been. A real WebGL2 and Three.js renderer lets objects be examined under raking light, the same low, grazing angle appraisers use to reveal wear, repair, and age that flat photography hides. The rest of the site runs on custom PHP with no page builder, keeping catalogue and provenance pages exact rather than assembled from generic blocks.

Rill Featured

Rill

$89

The glow and the water are one system. Rill runs a real-time WebGL2 shallow-water simulation — an actual finite-difference solution of the 2D wave equation — and samples its height field on the CPU to drive a live glass inner-glow, layered over genuine backdrop-filter refraction rather than a static blur. Installation and Material are cross-linked custom post types built around that same glass system, with an AJAX commission enquiry form for studio leads.

Lantern

Lantern

$95

The page isn't styled — it's lit. Lantern drives the whole page from registered, @property-typed custom properties carrying a live lighting state — key, wash, haze, tint — so scrolling runs a literal lighting cue stack rather than a scroll animation. The hero renders volumetric light beams through haze off the main thread, a desk scene mixes six lanterns additively in linear light, and colour is authored in OKLCH because a dimmer is fundamentally a lightness axis; the whole layout is built as a cue sheet aligned on CSS subgrid.

Verrière

Verrière

$89

The page is built as a leaded light. Verrière sets content inside irregular, hand-built glass quarries separated by real lead cames instead of a rectangular card grid, with an SVG-filter antique-glass texture on every pane. A scroll-driven sun angle relights every pane live through @property-typed custom properties for genuinely smooth interpolation, saturated ruby, cobalt, emerald and amber sit on near-black lead, and a fixed vertical navigation rail replaces the usual top bar and full-viewport photo hero.
