Terms of Service

Overview

These terms cover the WordPress themes listed in the Kiln catalogue (kilnwp.com). By enquiring about or purchasing a theme, you agree to the terms below.

What’s included with a purchase

  • Full theme source (PHP, CSS and JS) — nothing is locked behind a page-builder or hosted-only editor.
  • A single-site license, priced per theme by build complexity rather than artificial feature tiers.
  • Lifetime updates for the version of the theme you buy.
  • Six months of email support from launch, renewable.
  • Translation-ready strings, and RTL stylesheets where noted on the theme’s own listing.

License & usage

A Kiln license entitles you to use the purchased theme on a single live website. The PHP template files that make up a WordPress theme are distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, consistent with how WordPress themes are normally licensed; bundled images, fonts, and any third-party libraries retain their own licenses, listed in each theme’s CREDITS file. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute a Kiln theme — as a template, a “starter kit,” or repackaged under another name — without our written permission.

How purchases work

Kiln doesn’t run an automated checkout. Enquiring about a theme through the site sends us your request directly; we reply by email with pricing, licensing, and delivery details, and payment is arranged from there. Because each theme is a digital product delivered on request, sales are final once the files have been delivered, except where the theme is materially defective or does not match its listing — email us and we’ll make it right.

Support scope

Support covers bugs in the theme itself and questions about the features documented on its listing. It doesn’t cover custom development, third-party plugin conflicts, or changes to a live site made by someone other than you. Support requests go to [email protected].

No warranty

Themes are provided as-is. We test every theme before it’s listed, but we can’t guarantee compatibility with every plugin, host, or PHP configuration. To the extent permitted by law, Kiln isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of a theme.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the catalogue grows. Changes apply to purchases made after the update; they don’t retroactively change the terms of a license you already hold.
