Overview
Thermae’s signature technique is a genuine GPU stable-fluids simulation running the site’s water surfaces — the same class of fluid solver used in real-time graphics research, not a pre-rendered video loop dressed up as interactive. Because it’s a live simulation rather than a clip, it responds to the actual viewport and stays convincing at any scroll position or interaction, where a looping video would eventually reveal its seam. The palette is deep indigo night, warm lantern amber, mineral teal and cedar-brown — built specifically for a mineral-bathing and thermal-retreat brand organised around six real pools, each with distinct mineral content and temperature, rather than a generic spa/wellness template.
