Obscura is a brutalist, black-and-white portfolio theme for photographers and art directors who want their images to feel processed, not just displayed. A real-time WebGL shader applies film grain and RGB channel shift to every photo as it renders, giving the gallery a darkroom texture no CSS filter can fake. The work gallery is drag-to-scrub, an oversized kinetic wordmark anchors the homepage, and a full-screen index menu replaces the usual dropdown navigation.

Overview

A stark, brutalist portfolio theme for photographers, art directors and creative studios — pure black, a single oversized kinetic wordmark, and a real-time WebGL layer that pushes film grain, RGB channel-shift and hover distortion straight onto the photography. The work is the interface; everything else gets out of the way.

A drag-to-scrub gallery, a full-screen index menu, giant dynamic type and equal-margin catalogue layouts make each image the star. For portfolios where the pictures are supposed to do the talking, and the site is supposed to make them louder.
