Who it is for

General contractors, construction managers and design-build firms — companies that win work by being invited to bid. Owners and developers check the same five things before they make that call: what you have built, how you run a job, how safe you are, roughly what their building would cost, and who answers the phone. Girder puts each one on the page as something they can use.

How we build, in WebGPU

The process section is a building going up as the visitor scrolls through your four phases: piles on a site behind corten hoarding, then the steel and concrete frame with a lattice tower crane, then the curtain wall rising floor by floor, then handover — crane gone, hoarding down, paving, trees, lights coming on in the offices — set in a city at dusk. A still frame of the same render stands in on phones without WebGPU and under reduced motion.

Ballpark it

Building type, storeys, floor plate and finish in; a cost range, cost per square foot and a build time out, with a massing model of what was entered. Every rate is a Customizer setting, it works without JavaScript, and "Send this to our estimators" carries the figures into the request-for-bid form, where the server works them out again so the request records exactly what the visitor saw.

Projects as site signs

Each project has location, size, storeys, value, delivery method, duration, architect, owner, certifications, scope and a gallery. Live jobs carry an "on site now" band with the current stage and percent complete. Sectors have their own photographs and counts, and the projects board filters by sector.

Safety, people, careers

A safety board with days without a lost-time injury, EMR and hours worked — the first number owners ask for. Leadership hangs as site ID badges; careers list pay in the open with a four-step hiring process; the About page draws a timeline from your projects and milestones.
