Overview

A warm, cosy WordPress theme for neighbourhood pet-care businesses — grooming, boarding, daycare and gentle training — in a soft palette of cream, caramel, peach and sage, with a friendly Fraunces display serif over humanist Manrope. It is the one theme in this collection built strictly to the WordPress.org directory standard: no plugin-territory code in the theme itself, every output escaped, fully translation-ready, so it can ship free on the official directory. The front page opens on a two-column hero — a welcoming pet photo framed by a drifting paw-print canvas, a warm aurora glow and a cursor paw-print trail — then moves through a credibility stat band, a photo-rich services grid, a “why choose us” promise, a full-bleed statement band, a happy-guests gallery and opening hours: a real small-business homepage, not a blog with a banner.

Pawlour ships as a freemium pair, the same model as Astra and Kadence. The free theme (design, Customizer, starter content and motion-safe effects) exposes template action hooks, and the optional Pawlour Pro companion plugin hooks into them to add bookable Services with pricing, a Team directory, Testimonials, a WooCommerce shop section, block patterns and a one-click demo importer. Activate Pro and the sections light up; deactivate it and the theme degrades gracefully with zero errors. Every animation is fully disabled under prefers-reduced-motion.
