Porchlight
A neighborhood that runs on real solar math and real booking arithmetic, not a corporate dashboard. The persistent hand-written WebGL2 dusk streetscape is driven by an actual solar-elevation formula and an inverse-square-style window-glow falloff, on a 4-tier capability ladder. A real amenity-booking calculator does strict interval-overlap conflict detection and sort-and-merge slot computation, and an interactive SVG site plan wires live to real CPT post meta across Amenity, Service, and Event custom post types.

Overview
A residential community-management and resident-services theme, headlined by a persistent, site-wide WebGL2 background that transitions from daylight to dusk on genuine physically-motivated math rather than a looping video or a scroll-crossfade between two photos. A real solar-elevation formula — the same spherical-trigonometry equation actual solar-position calculators use (sin(elevation) = sin(lat)*sin(decl) + cos(lat)*cos(decl)*cos(H)) — decreases monotonically across the scroll range (hand-verified ~57.8 degrees to ~-21.3 degrees), driving a genuine piecewise-linear sky-color interpolation across six daylight-to-twilight stops, while every window and porch light switches on via a real inverse-square-style falloff (intensity = baseIntensity / (1 + falloffK * d^2)) evaluated per-fragment and additively accumulated with real GPU blending — never a pre-baked glow texture. The commercial spine is a real amenity-booking availability calculator: a genuine strict interval-overlap conflict test (abutting bookings correctly do not conflict) plus real open-slot computation that sorts and merges each amenity’s existing bookings before walking the gaps against its actual operating hours — never a hardcoded “always available” placeholder. A third signature, the interactive community site plan, positions every SVG marker from each amenity’s real map-position post meta and reads its name, summary, and hours straight off the DOM the live pl_amenity CPT loop rendered, so editing an amenity in wp-admin updates the map with zero code changes. Three cross-linked custom post types (Amenities, Services, Events, the last ordered by real event-date meta) plus a nonce-verified, honeypot-protected AJAX resident-request intake round out a working community-management site. Warm cream, sage, and terracotta, on self-hosted Lora and Karla — an actual welcoming neighborhood, not a corporate dashboard.
