Overview

Salvo is a display-fireworks and pyrotechnic-production theme for event design firms — corporate galas, weddings, municipal celebrations, concert pyrotechnics, and private events. The persistent background isn’t a decorative shader wash: it’s a real-time particle-physics firework simulation, and every interactive tool on the site runs on real pyrotechnic industry math.

1. A real NFPA 1123 minimum-distance calculator. Enter a shell size and it computes minimum spectator distance and minimum mortar-to-structure setback from the actual published formula (70 ft × shell diameter, 100 ft floor), plus a separately-labelled “conservative planning” figure using the widely-cited 100 ft/inch industry rule of thumb — the two are never conflated. PHP and JS implementations match exactly.

2. A real 71-cue choreography timeline. A hand-composed finale sequence — opening salvo, two build sections, a ground-effects interlude, a final build, and an escalating finale barrage — modeled on how real firing software exports a cue list, rendered as a scrollable timeline driven by one shared data array (localized once from PHP, never duplicated).

3. A real star-chemistry reference. The actual metal-salt colorants behind every firework color — strontium red, barium green, copper blue, sodium gold — with approximate flame temperatures and the real reason there’s no single-element purple and why aluminum/titanium “colors” are incandescence, not atomic emission.

The signature GPU background is a hand-written, zero-dependency WebGL2 particle simulation: shells launch on real ballistic trajectories (v0 = √(2g·burst-height), so every shell reaches apex exactly at its intended burst altitude), burst into 70-150 stars per shell across five real shell types (peony, chrysanthemum with glitter trails, willow, crossette with a real mid-flight secondary split, and a ring-pattern shell), and each star’s color genuinely cools from its chemical emission color to an ember-orange afterglow as it burns out. Shell density scales with scroll position — sparse over the hero, a full barrage by the footer. Reduced-motion, no-WebGL2, weak-GPU, and save-data visitors get a clean CSS night-sky gradient, no canvas touched at all. 10 demo show case studies across all five event types with real sourced fireworks photography.

Signature: hand-written zero-dependency WebGL2 particle-physics firework engine — real ballistic launch velocity (v0=sqrt(2*g*burst_height)), gravity + exponential air drag, five real shell types (peony, chrysanthemum/glitter, willow, crossette mid-flight split, ring), chemically-real emission colors (strontium red, barium green, copper blue, sodium gold, titanium white-gold) cooling to ember-orange on burnout, scroll-scaled shell density, frame-persistence trail fade for glow. Signature 2: real NFPA 1123 minimum-distance calculator (server/client formula parity). Signature 3: real 71-cue choreography timeline localized from one PHP data array. Signature 4: real star-chemistry reference table. Capability-gated: reduced-motion/no-WebGL2/weak-GPU/save-data never touch the live canvas, CSS gradient fallback only. Self-hosted Fraunces + Inter + JetBrains Mono (all OFL). No third-party JS libraries. 10 demo shows across 5 event types with real CC0/CC BY fireworks photography.

Release

v1.0.0 A real ballistic-physics firework particle simulation for a background, not a shader wash — plus a real NFPA 1123 distance calculator, a real 71-cue choreography timeline, and real pyrotechnic star chemistry. Five real shell types, chemically-accurate burn colors, scroll-scaled barrage density.

The complete, dated version history ships in the theme’s CHANGELOG file. Every purchase includes lifetime access to future updates.

A one-of-a-kind jewelry maison storefront: a real Three.js/WebGL2 gem viewer lets shoppers drag-orbit each piece, swap between 18K gold, rose gold, platinum and blackened metal in real time, and read live facet-angle, refractive-index, critical-angle and fire-frequency numbers off an on-canvas HUD as the stone turns. A browsing-history-driven style curator recommends pieces from the visitor's own session, computed entirely client-side with no dependency on any external AI service. Runs as a compiled React/Vite storefront embedded inside a classic WordPress theme, with a custom "Luxury Products" catalogue (no WooCommerce dependency).

The background is the product. A real WebGL2 particle field runs behind the whole site, five simulations deep, with its live state reported in the rail rather than claimed in the copy. It's a genuine WebGL2 transform-feedback particle integration with a ping-ponged trail buffer, sharing one engine across five simulations on a classic no-build-step PHP theme with zero third-party JavaScript. Case studies, capabilities, recognition, and testimonials run as real post types, backed by a working AJAX inquiry endpoint that actually stores and notifies — built for creative and design agencies.
