Intaglio

Intaglio is built for security printing businesses, and it's built around documents that hold up when somebody actually checks them. A real WebGL2 semantic-zoom viewer lets visitors zoom into printed specimens and see genuine fine-line engraving detail rather than a pixelated stock photo, the way the craft's security features actually depend on. Custom PHP with no page builder keeps the rest of the site as precise and unpadded as the print work it describes.

Highlights

  • A real guilloche engine. Guilloche is the curve a rose engine draws, and the dense banding is the interference between repeats of one figure, not any single line. Superposed hypotrochoid and epitrochoid families are evaluated in the vertex shader, so a whole curve family is one draw call and its phase animates for free
  • The specimen panel: a bounded section in which one document is examined by magnification instead of scrolling. Five bands — x1, x4, x25, x200, x2000 — each resolve a DIFFERENT layer of content rather than a larger copy of the same thing
  • A phase-encoded latent image: two line screens of slightly different pitch, with one shifted half a period inside a hidden word, computed as a true beat between the two frequencies rather than left to display aliasing, so it holds at any zoom or screen density
  • Microtext that is really text. What reads as a hairline rule is a legible sentence at size, exactly as recess-engraved microtext behaves under a glass
  • The panel never steals the page scroll: the wheel moves the page until you click into the panel, and gives it back when you leave. A zoom widget that traps the visitor is the fastest way to lose one
  • An ordinary, navigable, editable homepage around it — header nav, hero, what-we-make, the specimen panel, a features register, commissions, process and an enquiry CTA. The signature technique is a section of the page, not a replacement for it
  • Content types for security features, commissions and substrates with the specification fields a printer actually quotes on, plus a private enquiry inbox
  • No third-party JavaScript at all — the guilloche engine, the plane and the latent image are all written from scratch. The rest of the page (the photo band, the six catalogue tiles, and one photograph per feature and commission) is real CC0 photography with full provenance in CREDITS.txt, not a stand-in you have to replace before selling it

Overview

Intaglio is for a house whose product is a document that has to survive being examined — degree parchments, share certificates, provenance seals, bonded tax stamps, authentication labels.

The homepage is a normal, editable business page: header navigation, a hero that says who this is and what they make, a what-we-make grid, a register of security features, recent commissions, how a commission runs, and a route to a quotation from anywhere on the page.

One section of it is unlike anything else. The specimen panel examines a document the way an inspector actually does — by magnification, not by reading. Five bands (×1, ×4, ×25, ×200, ×2000) each resolve a different layer rather than a sharper copy of the same one, and deeper bands sit inside the region they belong to. The panel never steals the page scroll: the wheel moves the page until you click into it.

Three signature techniques, all real printing practice: a guilloche engine computing the actual superposed hypotrochoid and epitrochoid families in the vertex shader; a phase-encoded latent image calculated as a true beat between two ruling frequencies; and microtext that really is text.

Suits security printers, certificate and diploma engravers, share-registrar printers, ticketing houses, brand-protection and authentication firms.

Release

v1.0.0 Intaglio is built for security printing businesses, and it's built around documents that hold up when somebody actually checks them.

The complete, dated version history ships in the theme’s CHANGELOG file. Every purchase includes lifetime access to future updates.

LANTHORN

The page is a dark stage and the content is the printed matter lying on it — playbill, ticket stubs, call sheet, receipt roll. It also publishes the sightline of all 412 seats, including the rows that lose the top of the set.

Étoile Morph

A dark editorial theme for a couture research journal — a persistent WebGL silk ground, a look book, a materials lab, a polar trend radar and a synthesised runway soundscape, all driven by content you edit in WordPress.

Neuronix

A React-to-WordPress port of a Gemini/AI-Studio IT technology blog prototype, rebuilt with an explicit audit-and-fix brief rather than a pure-fidelity port: a real content-grounded AI reading assistant (with a Chinese-tokenizer bug found and fixed post-build), real force-directed knowledge-graph physics, a corrected multi-layer KV-cache memory calculator matching real DeepSeek-V3 MHA/GQA/MLA figures, and durable WordPress-native comments and newsletter capture replacing the prototype's component-state-only versions that discarded data on every refresh.
