A theme for an antiquarian bookseller and fine-press bindery, headlined by a persistent, site-wide WebGL2 hero rendering an open book’s page curvature from the real Euler-Bernoulli cantilever beam equation — not a looping video or a static illustration. A hand-written WebGL2 scene evaluates the exact closed-form solution for a thin beam clamped at the spine and free at the fore-edge, y(x) = k*x^2*(3L-x), the same textbook structural-mechanics equation used to analyse any real cantilever — not a fluid or reaction-diffusion simulation like this catalogue’s other GPU heroes — with a dozen leaves fanned from a shared coefficient, on a four-tier capability ladder with a runtime FPS watchdog. The commercial spine is a real Knuth-Plass optimal paragraph line-breaking demonstrator: the exact same dynamic-programming algorithm TeX still uses today, computing a real adjustment-ratio/badness/demerits shortest-path over visitor-editable text with genuine canvas-measured font metrics (not character counts), shown side-by-side against naive greedy line-breaking so the difference is directly visible and numerically scored. A third signature, the nine-part ‘secret canon’ margin construction, in the tradition Jan Tschichold documented from historical page-canon research, computes a book’s margins live from real 9×9 grid-division geometry for whatever trim size a visitor enters, runtime-verified against its own defining property — that the resulting type area’s aspect ratio exactly equals the page’s. Editions and Bindings custom post types, plus a nonce-verified, honeypot-protected AJAX inquiry intake, round out a working shop site. Oxblood leather, brass foil-stamping gold, and iron-gall ink against aged paper cream, on self-hosted Libre Caslon Display and Text — a working shop, not a decorative shell.
