Offprint

Independent risograph print and zine publishing collective theme, built the way a riso print is actually made. Two flat ink colours are layered as literal overlapping print passes rather than blended in code, with a warm paper-cream base standing in for stock instead of the dark, glossy default most sites reach for. A print-registration-style overlap — the slight misalignment real riso runs produce — shows up deliberately and sparingly, never as a gimmick on every element. It reads like the collective's own printed matter.

Highlights

  • Two flat riso “ink” colours as literal overlapping print layers
  • Warm paper-cream palette instead of the dark/glossy default
  • Deliberate print-registration-style overlap, used sparingly
  • Zine/Issue content type tracking print runs & riso-colour combinations

Overview

Offprint runs on warm paper cream instead of the dark or glossy palette used across most of this catalogue, with two flat riso ‘ink’ colours treated as literal overlapping print layers — used sparingly, the way an actual riso print holds registration slightly off rather than perfectly aligned, instead of as a decorative filter over everything.

A Zine/Issue content type tracks print runs, page counts and riso-colour combinations per issue, giving independent print collectives a real structured way to catalogue physical output rather than treating each zine as a generic blog post.

A one-of-a-kind jewelry maison storefront: a real Three.js/WebGL2 gem viewer lets shoppers drag-orbit each piece, swap between 18K gold, rose gold, platinum and blackened metal in real time, and read live facet-angle, refractive-index, critical-angle and fire-frequency numbers off an on-canvas HUD as the stone turns. A browsing-history-driven style curator recommends pieces from the visitor's own session, computed entirely client-side with no dependency on any external AI service. Runs as a compiled React/Vite storefront embedded inside a classic WordPress theme, with a custom "Luxury Products" catalogue (no WooCommerce dependency).

Two real calculations carry the site: a WebGL2 hexagon-packing comb field, and a waggle-dance bearing calculator built on the actual relationship a forager's dance encodes. The comb field runs genuine flat-top axial and pixel conversion with cube-coordinate rounding and an exact hexagon SDF, while the waggle calculator combines a NOAA simplified solar-position formula with von Frisch's real sun-relative bearing relationship. Colonies, honey, sites, services, testimonials, and markets run as custom post types behind a working AJAX inquiry endpoint, for apiaries and small honey producers.
