GrottoArt Gallery WordPress Theme
Contemporary project space for grotesque figuration and abstract art. The collection grid is a genuine salon hang — irregular frame sizes, small rotations and uneven gutters modelled on real 19th-century academy exhibitions, not a tidy masonry grid. A violet and magenta gallery palette sets the mood without competing with the work on the walls. It's built for a program that wants its website to feel like a room you walk into, not a catalog you scroll through.

Highlights
- Salon-hang collection grid — irregular sizes, small rotations, uneven gutters
- Modelled on real 19th-century academy exhibition hangs
- Reads as curated and human instead of a templated CSS grid
- Paired Artist/Exhibition content types keep checklists & bios linked
Overview
Grotto’s structural novelty is its homepage collection grid: a genuine salon-hang — irregular image sizes, small deliberate rotations, uneven gutters — the way 19th-century academy exhibitions actually hung work, rather than the uniform CSS grid every other portfolio theme defaults to. It reads as curated and human instead of templated.
Built for project spaces and small galleries showing figurative and abstract work, with paired Artist/Exhibition content types so a show’s checklist and its artist bios stay properly linked rather than living in two disconnected post types.
