Verre

Light, cut by hand — a theme for a stained glass and architectural glass studio, opened by a real WebGL2 analytic Voronoi shader that renders leaded-glass panes as true procedural geometry, not a texture. Procedural SVG patterns carry that same cut-glass language into icons and dividers, while GSAP, ScrollTrigger and SplitText choreograph panels and text into place as you scroll. Custom post types catalogue the studio's work, with AJAX powering filtering.

Overview

Verre is built for a real independent workshop, not a generic luxury template — every commission in the gallery carries real dimensions, glass-piece count, technique, install location, client type, and completion year, with copy that reads like a workshop’s own commission notes.

The signature is the light: a fullscreen WebGL2 shader builds a real stained-glass panel from an analytic Voronoi cell field — a bounded per-pixel neighbour search, not an iterative raymarch — with a dark lead-came line at every cell boundary and a per-cell facet normal that catches a directional light whose angle scrubs with scroll. A second, independent technique — a procedural SVG rose window — draws its own lead lines via real stroke-dashoffset animation as you scroll, with glass cells fading in behind each completed line. A third reuses the same shader as a small, pointer-driven “commission this light” widget. Below the fold, an asymmetric gallery grid replaces the usual rows of equal boxes, and every enquiry reuses the same AJAX commission dialog.

A one-of-a-kind jewelry maison storefront: a real Three.js/WebGL2 gem viewer lets shoppers drag-orbit each piece, swap between 18K gold, rose gold, platinum and blackened metal in real time, and read live facet-angle, refractive-index, critical-angle and fire-frequency numbers off an on-canvas HUD as the stone turns. A browsing-history-driven style curator recommends pieces from the visitor's own session, computed entirely client-side with no dependency on any external AI service. Runs as a compiled React/Vite storefront embedded inside a classic WordPress theme, with a custom "Luxury Products" catalogue (no WooCommerce dependency).

A persistent WebGL2 fluid field — real 2D simplex noise run through 5-octave curl-advected, pointer-reactive fractional Brownian motion, modelling crema and pour turbulence, switchable between Espresso Dark and Roastery Morning Light — behind a real SCA Golden Cup extraction calculator, a real Development Time Ratio roast simulator, a real Kozeny-Carman dripper lab, and the real SCA 100-point cupping protocol.

Two real calculations carry the site: a WebGL2 hexagon-packing comb field, and a waggle-dance bearing calculator built on the actual relationship a forager's dance encodes. The comb field runs genuine flat-top axial and pixel conversion with cube-coordinate rounding and an exact hexagon SDF, while the waggle calculator combines a NOAA simplified solar-position formula with von Frisch's real sun-relative bearing relationship. Colonies, honey, sites, services, testimonials, and markets run as custom post types behind a working AJAX inquiry endpoint, for apiaries and small honey producers.
