Meniscus

A persistent WebGL2 fluid field — real 2D simplex noise run through 5-octave curl-advected, pointer-reactive fractional Brownian motion, modelling crema and pour turbulence, switchable between Espresso Dark and Roastery Morning Light — behind a real SCA Golden Cup extraction calculator, a real Development Time Ratio roast simulator, a real Kozeny-Carman dripper lab, and the real SCA 100-point cupping protocol.

Overview

Meniscus is a coffee-science-lab theme — a real extraction-chemistry toolkit, a single-origin terroir archive, and a WooCommerce bean-and-equipment shop. Its signature is a persistent WebGL2 fluid field modelling the way crema and pour turbulence swirl: real 2D simplex noise run through 5-octave fractional Brownian motion, curl-advected and pointer-reactive — not a decorative CSS gradient — switchable between two real atmosphere palettes, “Espresso Dark” and “Roastery Morning Light”. Six lab tools each run a real, named formula rather than a plausible-looking placeholder: the SCA Golden Cup TDS/extraction-yield formula in the Extraction Lab, the real Development Time Ratio metric in the Roast Simulator, the Kozeny–Carman grind-permeability relation in the Dripper Lab, timed pour-schedule recipes with audio cues in the Pour-Over Metronome, the real SCA/WCR 9-category taster’s flavor taxonomy in the Flavor Wheel, and the real SCA 100-point cupping protocol — saved server-side — in the Cupping Lab. Eight single-origin coffee lots spanning five continents populate the terroir archive with full process and cupping-score detail, and the WooCommerce shop sells matching single-origin bean bags alongside a house equipment line of drippers and grinders.

Classic PHP theme, no build step. WebGL2 fullscreen-shader fluid field: real 2D simplex noise run through 5-octave fractional Brownian motion, curl-advected and pointer-reactive, switchable between two atmosphere palettes (Espresso Dark, Roastery Morning Light). Six lab tools each on a real published formula: SCA Golden Cup TDS/extraction-yield calculator, Development Time Ratio roast simulator, Kozeny-Carman grind-permeability dripper lab, timed pour-over metronome with audio cues, real SCA/WCR 9-category flavor wheel, and the real SCA 100-point cupping protocol saved server-side via AJAX. Single-origin terroir archive covering 8 lots across 5 continents (Ethiopia, Kenya, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, Indonesia). WooCommerce shop selling matching bean bags plus the "Solvent" dripper and "Millwright" grinder equipment lines. Zero third-party JavaScript.

Release

v1.0.0 A persistent WebGL2 fluid field — real 2D simplex noise run through 5-octave curl-advected, pointer-reactive fractional Brownian motion, modelling crema and pour turbulence, switchable between Espresso Dark and Roastery Morning Light — behind a real SCA Golden Cup extraction calculator, a real Development Time Ratio roast simulator, a real Kozeny-Carman dripper lab, and the real SCA 100-point cupping protocol.

The complete, dated version history ships in the theme’s CHANGELOG file. Every purchase includes lifetime access to future updates.

A one-of-a-kind jewelry maison storefront: a real Three.js/WebGL2 gem viewer lets shoppers drag-orbit each piece, swap between 18K gold, rose gold, platinum and blackened metal in real time, and read live facet-angle, refractive-index, critical-angle and fire-frequency numbers off an on-canvas HUD as the stone turns. A browsing-history-driven style curator recommends pieces from the visitor's own session, computed entirely client-side with no dependency on any external AI service. Runs as a compiled React/Vite storefront embedded inside a classic WordPress theme, with a custom "Luxury Products" catalogue (no WooCommerce dependency).

Fellrise

A persistent WebGL2 'liquid topography' field — real 2D simplex noise, 4-octave fBm domain warping and finite-difference-normal specular lighting, switchable between two atmosphere palettes — behind a real wind-chill index, a corrected Naismith's Rule, the 5-tier avalanche danger scale and a real GPX 1.1 track exporter.

Two real calculations carry the site: a WebGL2 hexagon-packing comb field, and a waggle-dance bearing calculator built on the actual relationship a forager's dance encodes. The comb field runs genuine flat-top axial and pixel conversion with cube-coordinate rounding and an exact hexagon SDF, while the waggle calculator combines a NOAA simplified solar-position formula with von Frisch's real sun-relative bearing relationship. Colonies, honey, sites, services, testimonials, and markets run as custom post types behind a working AJAX inquiry endpoint, for apiaries and small honey producers.
