Overview
SinoChemix is a faithful WordPress port of a client-supplied, Gemini/AI Studio-generated React prototype for a global advanced-materials and petrochemical conglomerate. Unlike this catalogue’s usual self-directed builds, this theme was deliberately built as a construction exercise, not a redesign: every layout, colour, copy block, and interaction in the source `ChemicalSuiteApp.tsx` prototype was carried across field-for-field, with no invented sections and no simplified data.
1. A real B2B commercial funnel, not a decorative contact form. The global “Request Quote / Sample” modal (`template-parts/modal-inquiry.php`) mirrors the prototype’s `ChemicalInquiryModal.tsx` exactly — product/CAS selector, volume + unit, destination port, company, contact, email, phone, notes — and submits over a real AJAX `admin-post.php` handler with nonce verification and a honeypot field, returning a genuine generated ticket reference on success.
2. A real ISO 14064-style LCA carbon calculator on the ESG page, not a static graphic. `assets/js/esg-calculator.js` runs the exact same `volume x CO2-saved-per-ton` arithmetic and per-material coefficients (0.625 / 0.410 / 0.850 t CO2e per ton) as the source `ChemicalEsgPage.tsx`, live off a volume slider and material dropdown.
3. Six full page types ported one-for-one: Home, Products & Materials (with a working CAS-number/name filter), Global Manufacturing (tabbed base switcher across Zhoushan/Ordos/Houston/Jurong/Antwerp), R&D & Innovation, ESG & Net-Zero, and Investor Relations — each built from the matching `chemicalData.ts` records via three custom post types (`chem_product`, `chem_base`, `chem_news`) that mirror the original TypeScript interfaces field-for-field.
Self-hosted variable OFL fonts (Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono), full compliance kit (GPLv2 LICENSE, CHANGELOG, honest PHOTO-CREDITS documenting two Unsplash 404 substitutions with correctly re-licensed Wikimedia Commons replacements), and an idempotent WP-CLI demo importer. Independently re-verified after the build agent’s own report: found and fixed a real footer-typography bug (brand name/tagline missing `display:block`) the agent’s report hadn’t caught, confirmed the RFQ form and LCA calculator both work end-to-end with real data, not placeholders.
